Methodology

How Meridian Edge generates consensus probabilities.

Data Aggregation: Meridian Edge collects probability data from multiple regulated prediction markets. We compute a volume-weighted consensus probability for each event, updated every 5 minutes.
Derived Data Only: All outputs are Meridian Edge’s own derived analysis. No raw exchange prices, order book data, or platform-specific information is redistributed. Platform names are anonymized in all public outputs.
Spread Calculation: The “spread” metric reflects disagreement across sources — the difference between the highest and lowest probability observed across multiple regulated prediction markets. A wider spread indicates greater uncertainty or potential divergence.
Settlement Verification: Events are settled by cross-referencing outcomes against authoritative third-party sources (ESPN, NOAA, FRED, AP). Meridian Edge does not self-certify outcomes.
